Digital Nest is a collaborative project with Lisa de Neve and Lotte Vos, studying advertising at Willem de Kooning Academy. In this project we stress the issue about the way banks are treating their users money. The banks invest in products that might not match with the customers values and expectations. For example ING invest more in guns, ABN invest more cutting down rainforests but ASN invests the most in climate change.
The inspiration was the ekster nest or magpie nest that collects shining items from the ground to its nest. We found the metaphor of a digital nest to our way of collecting our money by using and investing in different banks that might not be transparent at all. This data design project became one of our favourite durning the course.
